Metis Announces Voyage AlphaDrop Recognition Program to Reward Contributors to the Ecosystem’s Growth

Voyage AlphaDrop, Metis’ latest community incentivization program, aims to recognize and honor the contributions of early adopters driving the ecosystem’s growth.
Metis, the Ethereum Layer-2 (L2) ecosystem pioneering decentralized sequencers, has announced an interactive campaign and community incentivization program called Voyage AlphaDrop. Deemed a ‘recognition program’, the campaign is designed to reward its pioneers while accruing value to the participating dApps.
Kicking off with projects like RocketX, ENKI Protocol, and PUMPe, Voyage AlphaDrop enables Metis-based dApps and platforms to offer custom quests and challenges—i.e., ‘AlphaDrops’—with their CTAs. Innovators in the ecosystem can leverage Metis’ brand and expand network effects to bootstrap users, potential liquidity, and engagement.
In Season 1 of AlphaDrop, 5000 METIS tokens will be distributed to participants based on their contributions during the campaign period. To facilitate the recognition of such contributions, and for tracking progress, Metis has introduced RoBIT. It is the ‘reliable sidekick’ that will assist participants throughout the Voyage, helping them understand quests or activities and rewarding them with BITS.
Besides automating the distribution process with RoBIT, Metis has also implemented a tiered BITS earning system to optimize fairness and accessibility. Contributors build recognition by building BITS to unlock rewards with weighted distribution tied to different tiers ranked by impact.
As such, Voyage AlphaDrop participants can earn BITS under four contribution categories: Alignment, OnChain, Synergy, and Karma. This includes a range of activities, such as learning about participating platforms/dApps, showing up on their social media, onboarding new users, and bridging to the Metis blockchain.
