Validation Cloud Now Supports Stellar Horizon Archive Nodes
Zug, Switzerland, August 7th, 2024, Chainwire
Validation Cloud, a leader in Web3 infrastructure, announced support for Stellar Horizon, an HTTP API to data on the Stellar network. Stellar is the leading decentralized network for financial products and services and Horizon allows applications such as wallets, decentralized exchanges (DEXs), and asset issuers to more easily consume data produced by the Stellar network. Validation Cloud’s highly performant Node API will support these applications so they can better perform actions on the Stellar network such as submitting transactions, querying an account balance, or streaming events.
“Validation Cloud is proud to support Horizon with our #1 performing Node API and offer access to the full history of archive node data. We are excited to see the innovative financial products and services that will utilize our powerful nodes to build the next generation of DeFi applications,” said Validation Cloud CSO Alex Nwaka.
Archive nodes are specialized full nodes that store the entire history of a blockchain, including all transactions, smart contract interactions, and state changes since the genesis block. Validation Cloud’s archive nodes for Stellar maintain a complete history of the network, allowing developers to query historical ledger data, transaction details, and account states. This is crucial for applications requiring deep historical analysis of Stellar network operations.
Archive nodes have several key developer use cases:
- Auditing and Compliance: Financial institutions, regulators, and accounting firms often need to verify historical transactions for tax and compliance purposes.
- dApp Development: Developers can access historical contract states and interactions, crucial for building robust decentralized applications. Researchers and analysts can query past states of the blockchain for in-depth studies and trend analysis.
- Blockchain Explorers: Services like StellarExpert and other block explorers rely heavily on archive nodes to provide users with comprehensive blockchain data for the entire lifetime of the chain.
“Adding Validation Cloud to the Stellar ecosystem will improve the developer experience as they build the next generation of dApps powered by smart contracts on Stellar,” said Stellar Development Foundation VP of Product Tomer Weller. “Validation Cloud will enhance the already robust auditing and compliance features on Stellar that make the network attractive to institutions and regulators. Validation Cloud is another powerful addition to the growing Stellar ecosystem.”
Validation Cloud was purpose-built for enterprises with SOC 2 compliant node and staking infrastructure and 99.99% uptime. Ranked #1 in the world by CompareNodes, Validation Cloud’s Node API supports enterprises building on leading networks such as Stellar. Validation Cloud’s support for Horizon positions the Stellar network to offer the most performant, resilient, and reliable endpoints and data to developers building on Stellar.
