ChromaWay Resumes Collaboration with EU Implementing Chromia Technology
Stockholm, Sweden, July 15th, 2024, Chainwire
ChromaWay has announced continued collaboration with the European Union on development of blockchain based sustainability solutions. The announcement followed a presentation at the EU PCP final review meeting in partnership with the EU’s European Blockchain Services Infrastructure (EBSI) project.
Evaluators in Brussels praised the results delivered by ChromaWay through its institutional brand RBN Eco, highlighting the development of decentralized applications for Digital Product Passports and Intellectual Property Rights.
The technology behind these solutions is called relational blockchain, an architecture designed to optimize efficiency by improving the organization and complexity of on-chain data. This underlying architecture is shared by Chromia, a public Layer-1 platform that recently announced their July 16th mainnet launch. ChromaWay’s success in the program provides validation of relational blockchain’s potential to deliver impactful applications in both the private and public sectors.
Following the successful showcase, the initiative is advancing to the commercialization phase and ChromaWay has entered discussions with clients in the battery and textile sectors. The upcoming Ecodesign legislation, set to roll out in 2027, was cited as a catalyst for companies to explore the integration of Web3 to modernize client interactions and incentivize participation in the circular economy.
In July 2024, RBN Eco and ChromaWay representatives will be interviewed by the European Blockchain Association to ensure compatibility with new initiatives. In addition, the team will attend a follow-up workshop in Brussels this September to discuss the next steps for Q4 2024 and 2025.
