Startale Card Goes Live, Bringing Onchain Assets to Everyday Spending
Tokyo, Japan, November 2nd, 2026, Chainwire
Following over 300,000 waitlist reservations, Startale begins rolling out its virtual card, enabling USDSC spending at more than 150 million merchant locations worldwide.
Startale Group has officially launched Startale Card, a virtual payment card that lets users spend their onchain assets on everyday transactions through the Startale App. Following more than 300,000 waitlist reservations since July, the card is now available to eligible early contributors, with access expanding to waitlist users in priority order throughout November.
The launch marks a milestone in Startale’s broader vision of making onchain assets useful beyond the crypto ecosystem. By connecting digital asset holdings with everyday payments, Startale Card allows eligible users to spend USDSC at more than 150 million merchant locations worldwide without first transferring funds to a bank account or withdrawing through an exchange.
“We believe the next generation of financial superapps will bring saving, earning and spending into one seamless experience. That’s the vision behind Startale App, a place where your assets can keep working for you, from growing your wealth to spending it in the real world,” said Sota Watanabe, CEO of Startale Group.
Startale Card is issued by Rain, a Visa principal member and provider of stablecoin-powered payment infrastructure. Through Rain’s infrastructure, the virtual card connects eligible onchain assets with a global merchant acceptance network, allowing users to move USDSC to their card and use it for purchases.
The card also introduces cashback denominated in USDSC, which is credited directly to users’ accounts. By combining digital asset management and spending within the Startale App experience, the launch extends the platform’s existing financial functionality into real-world commerce.
Eligible users can activate their virtual card directly through the Startale App by navigating to the Card tab, completing the required know-your-customer (KYC) verification process, and activating their card. Once activated, the card can be used for purchases at supported merchants, subject to applicable eligibility requirements and card program terms.
For users who have not yet received access, the Startale Card waitlist remains open through the Startale App. To coincide with the launch, Startale is also introducing Card Chase, a referral campaign that allows waitlist participants to improve their position by inviting friends to the app. Each Quest completed by a referred friend advances the referring user’s position in the queue, offering another path toward earlier card access.
The Startale Card launch builds on the Startale App’s existing features, including digital asset management, swaps, earning opportunities, and USDSC balances. By extending these capabilities into everyday payments, Startale aims to bring saving, earning, and spending closer together within a single onchain financial experience.
Startale Card is a separate product from Startale App’s other services, including Earn, yield, cashback, swaps, and USDSC balances. Any product or service offered by Startale outside the card program is subject to its own separate terms and conditions. The card issuer is not a party to any agreement between users and Startale regarding those products and is not responsible for any transaction, loan, or arrangement that is not a card transaction.
With the phased rollout now underway, Startale will continue expanding access to eligible users throughout November. The launch advances the company’s vision of the Startale App as the “App for More than Money,” connecting onchain assets with everyday financial activity.
