PopDEX Opens to All Traders With a Growing Onchain Prize Pool With No Fixed Cap
Singapore, NA, October 19th, 2026, Chainwire
PopDEX, a trader-first perpetual decentralized exchange, today announced the launch of its Open Beta alongside MegaPop, a weekly, on-chain-verifiable trading contribution and reward mechanism designed to return value to real traders and contributors.
Open Beta removes the invite-code requirement and opens PopDEX to all users. The launch follows a Closed Beta period in which PopDEX processed more than $4.5 billion in cumulative trading volume and maintained approximately $70 million in LP pool capital. During Closed Beta, PopDEX expanded across crypto, RWA-related markets, global indices, equities, and community-driven assets while continuing to improve liquidity, execution, account access, funding flows, and risk-management features.
“Closed Beta gave us the opportunity to test PopDEX with real traders under live market conditions,” said Zach Prater, Head of Traders at PopDEX. “More than $4 billion in trading volume is meaningful, but the most important outcome has been the feedback. Traders told us where execution needed to improve, where liquidity needed to deepen, and where onboarding needed to become easier. Open Beta is the next step in turning that feedback into a venue built for long-term use.”
MegaPop: Every Trade Is a Shot at the Weekly Prize
Most DEXs are built around tokens. PopDEX is built around traders, and MegaPop is designed to make that difference visible.
Eligible trading generates Pop Tickets, each with a random six-digit number. Every week, tickets are matched against a Pop Hash generated from public Bitcoin block data. More matching digits unlock higher cash reward tiers.
Unlike traditional points systems, MegaPop does not ask users to farm volume and wait months for an uncertain TGE or token value. It records real trading contributions and returns value through weekly stablecoin rewards, with a visible Prize Pool and verifiable results.
The pool grows with participation: 40% of PopDEX’s net trading fees flow into MegaPop, while unclaimed prizes roll into future draws. More trading creates more participation opportunities, but every Ticket has an independent chance, allowing smaller traders to compete for high-tier outcomes alongside larger accounts.
All results are based on pre-disclosed rules, real trading activity, and public Bitcoin blockchain data. Users can verify the Bitcoin block, Pop Hash, Ticket Match, and reward outcome.
$150K Seeded on Day One, With a 2X Early Trader Window
PopDEX has seeded the MegaPop Prize Pool with $150,000 USDT from its own launch budget on day one. The initial pool is not funded by user trading fees. Once MegaPop reaches 300,000 cumulative Pop Tickets, PopDEX plans to add another $100,000 USDT to the Prize Pool.
The platform said the decision reflects its approach to value return: seed the pool before asking traders to participate, rather than requiring users to generate activity first and then waiting for rewards to be determined.
For the first six weeks of Open Beta, the 2X Early Trader Multiplier will allow eligible trading activity to progress twice as fast toward MegaPop participation. The mechanism is intended to recognize early users whose activity helps establish market liquidity, trading depth, and community participation during the first stage of public access.
From Closed Beta Contributions to Open Beta Participation
PopDEX has completed six rounds of cash rewards during Closed Beta. These reward rounds recognized not only trading activity but also product testing, fee contribution, account quality, user feedback, community growth, tool development, and ecosystem participation.
The final Closed Beta reward distribution is taking place alongside the Open Beta launch. Eligible Closed Beta traders and contributors will also receive retroactive MegaPop recognition based on historical participation, allowing early users to carry their contribution into the next phase of the platform.
Public reward receipts from previous Closed Beta rounds have shown that some active users received meaningful cash rewards, including cases where rewards and rebates offset a substantial portion of their trading costs. PopDEX said the purpose of the program is not to promise trading profits, but to recognize genuine market participation and reduce the gap between the value users create and the value they receive.
Built for Trading, Not Only Incentives
PopDEX is built around a CLOB-based market structure intended to support transparent price discovery, professional liquidity provision, and responsive execution. The platform operates on a high-performance L1 designed for trading use cases, with instant finality, approximately 100ms block times, and more than 100K TPS.
Its trader-first design focuses on total trading cost rather than only headline fee rates. PopDEX combines competitive fees, accessible VIP tiers, no token staking requirement for better VIP pricing, no additional liquidation fees, referral rebates, rewards, and value-return mechanisms to reduce long-term net trading costs.
The platform also provides on-chain order book and market data visibility, allowing users to inspect trading activity and reconcile records against on-chain execution. PopDEX has continued to optimize index-price and mark-price updates, conditional order handling, liquidation and ADL mechanisms, and risk controls under high-volatility and high-traffic conditions.
Its unified account architecture is designed to improve capital efficiency across crypto, RWA, spot, perpetual, and multi-collateral trading over time. PopDEX is also expanding access through email login, dedicated deposit addresses, gas-free deposit flows, external-address withdrawals, H5 trading, and mobile app access.
