Tria Brings Culture Into Finance With Gacha, Starting With Real Graded Trading Cards
Seoul, Korea, October 4th, 2026, Chainwire
Private launch goes live October 4 during Korea Blockchain Week with Pokémon, One Piece, and sports cards, instant buyback, physical redemption, up to 6% cashback, and a leaderboard competition featuring 3 exclusive slabs + 8 packs.
Tria, the self-custodial neofinance platform for trading, earning, spending and moving assets, today launched private access to Tria Gacha, a new collectibles experience built directly inside the Tria app that lets users open packs containing real graded trading cards, keep their pulls, sell them back instantly or redeem physical cards for delivery.
Gacha is the first step in Tria’s broader push to bring culturally relevant assets into the same environment where users already spend and manage money.
Selected users from Tria’s mystery pre-launch waitlist are receiving access beginning today during Korea Blockchain Week in Seoul, with additional waitlisted users gaining access in daily batches. The October 4 debut is a private launch ahead of broader availability.
“Collectors were never just playing. These are assets people grade, price, trade and hold, and we wanted to bring that behavior into the same place people already manage their money without losing what makes collecting fun,” said Vijit Katta, CEO and co-founder of Tria. “Trading cards are step one. Culture is a much bigger asset class than finance has traditionally treated it as.”
Gacha was built in response to behavior Tria was already seeing among its users, who were spending meaningfully on Gacha and collectibles outside the app while frequently reaching the higher-rate cashback spend limits on their Tria cards. Tria brought that activity directly into the product rather than treating it as separate from the financial experience.
Eligible Gacha packs purchased with a Tria card can earn up to 6% cashback, depending on membership, without counting toward the card’s higher-rate cashback spend limit. Gacha purchases receive the membership’s base cashback rate; other boosts do not apply.
Every Gacha pull corresponds to a real graded collectible card. Users can hold cards in their Tria collection, sell a pull back directly through the product or redeem eligible cards for physical delivery, creating a native experience spanning discovery, collecting, liquidity and ownership.
To mark the private launch, Tria is also introducing a 14-day Gacha leaderboard competition starting October 4, with 3 exclusive slabs + 8 packs up for grabs across the final top 10 participants. The in-app countdown shows the exact end. Users with Gacha access can participate, with rankings determined by the total dollar value of eligible Gacha pack purchases during the competition, displayed in-app as “Packs Opened ($).”
All Gacha pack types count toward the leaderboard, whether purchased by card or wallet. Participants can follow their position on the live leaderboard as access opens to more waitlisted users throughout the campaign. The value or rarity of cards revealed does not determine leaderboard rank.
Only Tria users who have received Gacha access are eligible to participate. Referring friends can help users move up the Gacha waitlist and receive access earlier, but waitlist position and leaderboard rank are separate: referrals affect access, while eligible pack purchases determine competition rankings.
Interested users can join the Tria Gacha waitlist.
The launch extends Tria beyond traditional financial assets and everyday spending into cultural categories with active collector communities, established grading systems and deeply developed secondary markets. Trading cards are the first category in that strategy.
In the days leading up to Korea Blockchain Week, Tria teased the launch through a mystery waitlist campaign that withheld the product category and dropped clues across social channels. Today’s reveal gives the first wave of waitlisted users access to Gacha inside the Tria app.
