CT3 Introduces Demand-based Availability Management for New Contracts and Prepares for Token Listing

The launch of CT3 Storage Contracts enabled the platform to significantly expand its available capacity and strengthen its data storage infrastructure within a short period of time. These additional resources helped CT3 meet growing demand, which increased substantially following the release of the automatic backup service.
Automatic backups have changed how ct-3.cloud is used. Instead of relying on individual manual uploads, users can regularly send new versions of their data to the network, creating an ongoing need for additional storage capacity. Storage Contracts allowed CT3 to connect the required resources more quickly and allocate them to meet this demand.
Contract Availability Will Depend on Actual Demand
Following the launch of the new format, interest in Storage Contracts proved to be high. However, increasing the supply of contracts without a corresponding level of storage demand could create excess unused capacity.
For this reason, CT3 will dynamically regulate the number of contracts available for purchase. The platform will issue contracts only for the amount of storage capacity that can be effectively used for user files, corporate archives, and automatic backups.
Certain contract options, particularly those linked to larger amounts of capacity, may become temporarily unavailable. Their sale will resume once there is confirmed demand or sufficiently large orders to utilize the corresponding volume.
This approach allows CT3 to expand its infrastructure in line with the actual needs of the network without creating excessive supply.
Availability management applies exclusively to new purchases and does not affect already activated Storage Contracts. All active contracts will continue operating under their existing terms. The temporary unavailability of a similar contract will not change its original operating parameters.
Maintaining Utilization of at Least 80%
Each Storage Contract is linked to a specific amount of storage capacity that is connected to the CT3 infrastructure and used to serve ct-3.cloud customers.
The contract’s performance depends directly on how actively the allocated capacity is used. Managing the availability of new contracts is therefore necessary to maintain the stated utilization level of at least 80%.
Limiting supply makes it possible to:
- align the addition of new capacity with actual demand;
- prevent the accumulation of unused resources;
- maintain a sustainable contract economy;
- preserve predictable utilization levels.
The temporary unavailability of a particular contract therefore does not indicate a reduction in infrastructure. It means that there is currently insufficient demand to launch additional capacity under the stated conditions.
Storage Contracts as a Tool for Managed Growth
Storage Contracts have become not only a financing mechanism for CT3, but also a tool for managing network expansion. Participants finance the addition of new capacity, which is then used to store real data within the ecosystem.
Revenue generated through the commercial use of this capacity is shared between CT3 and the participant who financed its deployment. At the same time, the release of new contracts remains tied to the platform’s actual need for additional resources.
