XT Exchange Launches Futures Insurance to Advance Risk Management Infrastructure in Crypto Derivatives

XT Exchange has announced the launch of XT Futures Insurance, a new feature designed to introduce a structured approach to post-loss risk management in crypto derivatives trading.
In crypto derivatives markets, risk management infrastructure has traditionally focused on pre-loss mechanisms such as execution speed, liquidity depth, margin controls, and liquidation systems. XT Futures Insurance expands this framework by addressing how realized losses may be managed after a trade has closed, particularly in high-volatility market conditions.
When a qualifying insured position closes at a loss, the system converts the realized loss into policy units that participate in a shared payout framework. According to XT, recovery is designed to occur progressively over time based on defined policy rules and overall pool conditions, rather than through a single reimbursement event.
In this model, a loss is no longer only the end of a trade. It becomes part of a recovery cycle.
This is the core shift behind XT Futures Insurance. The product moves risk management beyond passive protection and into active infrastructure, giving traders a more systematic way to manage the aftereffects of volatility.
To support initial adoption, XT has also introduced the limited-time Futures Insurance Policy Discount campaign, offering up to 50% first-loss protection on a user’s first qualifying insured trade. The campaign serves as a controlled entry point into the broader insurance framework, allowing users to experience the mechanism with reduced initial exposure.
