River Secures $8M Strategic Investment from TRON DAO to Accelerate Ecosystem Integrations

River announced an $8 million strategic investment from TRON DAO, supporting the deployment of River’s chain-abstraction stablecoin infrastructure and accelerating its integration across the TRON ecosystem.

According to the latest transparency report from Tether, the TRON network currently hosts ~$83.4 billion in USDT liquidity. 

River connects cross-ecosystem assets and liquidity into TRON through satUSD, which can be minted 1 to 1 with USDT, USDD, or USD1, or backed by assets from different chains.

This enables users to access TRON native high yield opportunities directly. 

Ecosystem Integration

satUSD will be used in stablecoin pools alongside USDT and USDD on Sun. Price feeds for satUSD will be provided by Winklink. satUSD will also be available on JustLend for lending and borrowing. 

Integration expands across core assets including USDT, TRX, wBTC, BTT, JST, SUN, WIN, and NFT use cases, with native sTRX staking yield as the initial entry point. 

River will launch Smart Vault and institutional grade Prime Vault to deliver yield opportunities for stablecoins, TRX, and core ecosystem assets on TRON.

This investment reinforces River’s role as core infrastructure for the TRON, enabling liquidity, yield, and sustained on chain activity at scale.
