PLVR Showcased at Coinbase System Update Event as Live Entertainment Explores On-chain Infrastructure
Singapore, Singapore, December 19th, 2025, Chainwire
PLVR, the data and financial infrastructure for live entertainment, today announced that it was featured by Coinbase during the Coinbase System Update, Coinbase’s official product and strategy showcase.
During the System Update, Sid Coelho Prabhu, Head of Coinbase Business, introduced PLVR on stage as a real world live entertainment use case. The presentation highlighted how PLVR integrates Coinbase Business and Payment Links to support both traditional payment rails and crypto, enabling instant global payments with no chargebacks and no settlement delays, while offering advantages in fee structure compared to traditional card-based payment systems.
PLVR is the data and financial infrastructure for live entertainment. The first use case built on PLVR is PLVR Ticketing. PLVR Ticketing is designed to simplify the ticket purchasing experience for fans, while onboarding the next billion users on-chain. With a no-signup, four-click checkout flow, users can purchase tickets easily without creating an account. Each ticket is minted on EVM blockchains, such as Base and BNB Chain, and delivered directly to the pre-generated Coinbase Wallet, providing verifiable on-chain ownership and helping to reduce common fraud vectors associated with traditional ticketing systems.
PLVR has been proven at scale, supporting top-tier music festivals across Asia, including NEON Countdown, 808 Festival in Thailand, DWP in Indonesia, and Charlotte de Witte 2025 in Singapore. Since its official launch in April 2025, it has powered more than 200 live events and onboarded 100k+ users. Through a unified payments layer, PLVR enables organizers to accept both crypto and traditional payments within a single flow. Beyond payments and ticketing, PLVR helps organizers bring more of the live entertainment lifecycle on-chain.
PLVR is integrated with x402 to support agentic payment flows, enabling autonomous payment interactions while keeping the overall user experience simple and familiar.
Qi Wu, CTO of PLVR, said, “Live entertainment brings together culture, audiences, and commerce in real time. Our goal at PLVR is to provide the data and financial infrastructure that allows these moments to scale globally, while keeping the experience simple and familiar for both fans and organizers. Being featured by Coinbase is a strong validation of this direction.”
PLVR’s inclusion in the Coinbase System Update reflects a broader industry shift toward on-chain infrastructure that supports real-world commerce.
