Flow and HackQuest Launch $250K Forte Hacks Hackathon With Disney, Dune, and Dapper
HongKong, China, October 26th, 2025, Chainwire
Flow — one of the fastest-growing crypto networks in the world and home to the NBA, NFL, Disney, and Ticketmaster — is partnering with HackQuest, the leading Web3 education and hackathon platform. Together, they’re launching Forte Hacks, a month-long global hackathon inviting developers to build the next generation of killer consumer apps with Disney, Dune, and Dapper.
Running October 1–31, 2025, the event offers $250,000 USD in prizes and perks, featuring dedicated tracks, ecosystem bounties, and community rewards. The hackathon is unique in that both existing projects and freshly coded projects are eligible to participate. Builders from around the world are challenged to reimagine DeFi automation, consumer experiences, and the very architecture that powers onchain apps.
Introducing Forte: Automation Built Into Flow
Forte Hacks marks the debut of Forte, Flow’s latest network upgrade — introducing native automation and composability through two new building blocks: DeFi Actions and fully onchain Scheduled Transactions. These primitives empower developers to create reusable, protocol-agnostic logic that runs onchain, from time-based operations that do not require off-chain keepers or servers to dynamic, multi-step DeFi operations.
With Forte, builders can move beyond manual contract interactions to orchestrate seamless, automated systems — unlocking a new design space for “always-on” applications that respond to time, triggers, and events directly on the blockchain.
Tracks, Partners, and Rewards
Participants can compete across five primary tracks:
- Best Killer App on Flow
- Best Use of Flow Forte Actions & Workflows
- Best Existing Code Integration
- Best VibeCoded Project
- Flow Community Bounties
Additional partner bounties are offered by ecosystem collaborators including Dune, QuickNode, MoonPay, Dapper Labs, Thirdweb, Privy, Crossmint, and Find Labs, featuring rewards for integrations like Dune Analytics dashboards, Find Data APIs, and token-powered fantasy sports experiences.
Projects must be deployed on Flow’s testnet or mainnet, include a public GitHub repository, demo video, and a social post tagging @flow_blockchain. Both new builds and existing projects integrating Flow are eligible. Evaluation criteria emphasize technical execution, originality, UX, adoption potential, and ecosystem impact.
Joining the Global Builder Community
Developers can find teammates, share progress, and connect through the official Forte Hacks Telegram channel. Participants sharing their work publicly under #ForteHacks can also earn daily “Building in Public” rewards.
