DeCharge Raises $150K on ReFi Hub to Launch the World’s First DePINFi-Powered EV Corridor
Singapore, Singapore, September 23rd, 2025, Chainwire
DeCharge, a pioneer in decentralized EV charging networks built on Solana, has announced a major milestone: securing $150,000 for its first partner pool, well ahead of the expected schedule. This achievement marks the launch of Project Surya, India’s first-of-its-kind community-powered EV corridor, and the first live deployment under DeCharge’s broader DePINFi narrative, facilitated via ReFi Hub.
Powering One of the Busiest Highway Corridors
The funds from this inaugural pool will power the deployment of 19 EV charging stations along strategic high-traffic highway corridors in Bangalore, India, marking the country’s first community-funded EV corridor initiative, directly addressing one of the biggest bottlenecks in EV adoption: charging accessibility. The successful funding of this corridor reflects strong market confidence in DeCharge’s model of turning real-world infrastructure into yield-generating, community-backed assets.
“The success of the ReFi Hub pool is a clear sign that the ecosystem is ready for projects that connect ReFi, DePIN, and deployments in real time. Raising $150,000 in just 12 days gives us the momentum to continue building infrastructure that benefits both communities and investors. We are excited to deliver on the community initiative and to demonstrate the power of blockchain in solving real-world challenges.” Prakash, Co-Founder & Chief of Growth of DeCharge.
Growing Momentum & Strategic Backing
The successful close of the largest pool to date on ReFiHub underscores surging interest from both the crypto community and traditional clean-tech backers, positioning DeCharge as the first player to bring decentralized EV infrastructure to India at scale, with notable support from The Chimpions DAO, and Coral Tribe, two OG Solana Web3 communities.
DeCharge’s early seed funding was led by Lemniscap and included contributions from Daedalus Angels, EV3 Labs, Levitate Labs, and other strategic backers. These supporters signal confidence in both the team and the DePINFi model.
“We are proud to have partnered with DeCharge and engaged the Solana community in supporting real-world asset and infrastructure investments. The success of this raise shows that community-owned infrastructure is a model that resonates with investors. Our focus remains on opening access and building new pathways for shared ownership in energy infrastructure. It’s been an honour to work for such a quality driven company like DeCharge. We look forward to ongoing collaborations to keep powering the ReFi mission.” Numa, Co-Founder of ReFiHub.
What’s Next
With Project Surya funded, DeCharge is moving quickly to deploy EV chargers along the designated highway corridor. Future plans include:
- Additional investment pools to fund future EV projects.
- Global scaling of EV infrastructure in high-demand, underserved areas
- Advanced AI-driven charger management for optimized uptime and revenue.
This milestone demonstrates that the future of EV infrastructure is community-built, crypto-funded, and financially participatory.
