In a landmark move that underscores the growing value of crypto media platforms, AMBCrypto, a leading cryptocurrency news outlet headquartered in Estonia, has been acquired by a Dubai-based investment group in a multi-million dollar, 7-figure deal.
Founded in early 2018 by Jeevan Thomas and Himanshu Kumar with just $150 in seed capital, AMBCrypto was born out of a simple yet powerful idea: making cryptocurrency news accessible, reliable, and jargon-free. This marks the second successful exit for the founding duo, who previously sold their AI startup Opentools—also co-founded by both of them—in 2024 for a 6-figure sum. Like AMBCrypto, that venture was bootstrapped, scaled, and sold entirely without outside investment.
