DeFi Protocol Mutuum Finance Passes 16,200 Holder Milestone as Development Progresses
Dubai, UAE, September 14th, 2025, Chainwire
Mutuum Finance (MUTM), a decentralized finance protocol, has reported over 16,200 token holders to date. The increase in participation coincides with the project’s ongoing presale phase and the upcoming launch of its core lending and borrowing platform.
Overview of Mutuum Finance and Presale Progress
Mutuum Finance is developing a decentralized protocol that integrates pooled lending markets with a peer-to-peer framework, enabling users to lend, borrow, and access yield opportunities across various digital assets. The project is currently conducting a multi-phase presale, during which MUTM tokens are being offered ahead of a planned exchange listing.
The presale launched with tokens priced at $0.01 and has progressed through several pricing tiers. As of the current phase, the token is priced at $0.035, with the next scheduled increase set at $0.04. According to the project’s tokenomics, the public listing price is expected to be $0.06.
To date, over 710 million MUTM tokens have been sold. The project has reported this figure as a milestone in its presale progression.
Future Development: Stablecoin and Risk Management
Following the presale phase, Mutuum Finance has announced plans to introduce an overcollateralized stablecoin as part of its core offering. Unlike models that rely on liquidity pools or centralized reserves, this stablecoin will be minted directly against deposited collateral. Users will be able to deposit digital assets such as ETH to receive a stablecoin pegged to the U.S. dollar, with issuance and redemption processes governed by smart contracts.
This design is intended to maintain liquidity and adjust supply dynamically in response to market activity. The use of overcollateralization is aimed at minimizing counterparty risk and supporting ecosystem stability.
Additionally, the protocol incorporates a risk management framework to address market volatility and liquidity fluctuations. This includes features such as dynamic interest rate adjustments, reserve factors, and the segregation of lending markets for higher-risk assets. These mechanisms are structured to mitigate exposure during periods of price instability and to maintain operational continuity across diverse asset classes.
Upcoming Updates and Roadmap
Mutuum Finance has emphasized a structured development process supported by recent milestones in transparency and security. The project has completed a smart contract audit conducted by CertiK, a blockchain security firm, and currently holds a Token Scan security score of 90 out of 100. These measures are positioned to support the technical reliability and security posture of the protocol within the decentralized finance ecosystem.
The team has confirmed that a beta version of the platform will launch alongside the public release of the MUTM token. This initial version will include access to key features such as interest-bearing mtTokens, lending pools, and peer-to-peer borrowing markets.
A recent statement shared on X by Jason Wdowski highlighted the next phase of communication:
“We’re now finalizing a bigger update, roadmap, current status, and upcoming milestones, accompanied by social content. We’re close and look forward to sharing it.”
This message has set expectations for further announcements outlining development progress and the upcoming roadmap as the platform advances toward mainnet launch.
About Mutuum Finance (MUTM)
Mutuum Finance (MUTM) is a decentralized finance protocol focused on lending, borrowing, and yield generation. The platform integrates pooled liquidity markets with a peer-to-peer marketplace, while also introducing mtTokens — interest-bearing ERC-20 tokens that can be staked to earn dividends in MUTM. Backed by a completed CertiK audit and with a beta version of its platform planned at token launch, Mutuum Finance aims to provide secure, transparent, and accessible DeFi solutions for a global user base.
