Bitget Expands Global Web3 Educational Efforts with ESN Luzern Partnership

Bitget, the world’s leading cryptocurrency exchange and Web3 company, is pleased to announce a strategic partnership with the Erasmus Student Network (ESN) Luzern, a local branch of the renowned student organization. This collaboration brings together a global network of students to increase awareness and knowledge of Web3 technologies, paving the way for a new generation of digital leaders. The initiative launched with an immersive “Game Night” event on September 8th and 9th, designed to introduce over 100 students to the foundations of blockchain in an engaging, hands-on way.
The event, held at the Gameorama Spielmuseum in Luzern, was a centerpiece of the welcome week for students from the University of Lucerne, Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, and PH Luzern. The two-day event was divided into an educational session providing a foundational understanding of cryptocurrencies and decentralized finance, followed by a wide-ranging gaming session featuring VR games, board games, card games, and arcade classics.

ESN Luzern is the local branch of the Erasmus Student Network, a non-profit organization that supports and integrates international students in Switzerland. It provides a Buddy Program, organizes social and cultural events, and offers practical advice to help students feel at home in their new environment.

This new cooperation offers a unique platform to equip students with the skills needed to build and improve the current Web3 ecosystem, contributing to the sector’s long-term growth and innovation.
Moving forward, the partnership will continue to grow. A workshop on “DeFi 2.0 & The Rise of Real-World Assets” is planned at the HSLU Informatik & Wirtschaft. This session will dive deeper into key topics of the sector, including the tokenization of Real-World Assets (RWAs), cross-chain DeFi protocols, the Swiss regulatory landscape, and advanced yield strategies.
In the long term, the initiative aims to expand the university network to other ESN chapters across Europe and develop a structured curriculum for ongoing crypto education initiatives.
This collaboration with ESN Luzern is part of Bitget’s global Blockchain4Youth initiative, a multi-year program dedicated to empowering the next generation with practical blockchain skills. The Blockchain4Youth program aims to reach 1 million students and early-career professionals by 2026 through workshops, hackathons, and industry collaborations.
This event follows the successful “Crypto Experience Month” in August, which attracted over 2,000 students across 11 global markets with events featuring educational talks, NFT airdrops, and live crypto payments. The cooperative effort underscores a shared commitment to making Web3 education accessible, practical, and inspiring for the next wave of digital innovators.
