BNB Chain Marks Five Years with Record Growth and Web3 Breakthroughs

Over the past five years, BNB Chain has grown from a single blockchain into a leading global ecosystem where millions of users build, trade, and create every day. 2024–2025: Key Milestones
BNB Chain recorded more than 4.7 million daily active users, with BSC averaging 1.12 million and opBNB reaching new highs.
The Maxwell and Lorentz hard forks reduced block times to 0.75 seconds and lowered gas fees to as little as $0.001, further improving speed and accessibility.
Security also advanced. The BNB Goodwill Alliance cut sandwich attacks by 95 percent, contributing to an 87 percent drop in exploit losses on BSC.
Liquidity reached new highs with $319.4B in DEX trading volume, the highest across all chains, and stablecoin adoption surged to $11B in market cap and saving users around $5M in fees through the 0 Fee Stablecoin Carnival, making BNB Chain the leading blockchain for stablecoin transactions and active users.
The broader ecosystem expanded with TVL peaking at $14B, unique BSC addresses surpassing 615 million, and more than 5,000 projects now building on BNB Chain. Real-world asset adoption accelerated with Securitize and VanEck’s vBILL onchain U.S. Treasuries, Backed Finance’s tokenized equities listed on Kraken, and Ondo Finance integrating BNB Chain into its Global Markets platform. These milestones were reinforced by the RWA Incentive Program, which is driving further adoption of real-world assets on BNB Chain.
Builder Support
BNB Chain has supported over 200 projects through its Most Valuable Builder (MVB) program, which recently expanded into a 10-week global residency. The latest BNB Hackathon recognized 9 winners and 50 honorable mentions in AI, DeFi, DePIN, and DeSoc.
The Builder Bunker opened as a dedicated basecamp for developers and founders to collaborate and scale with direct support.
