SatLayer Launching on Babylon Genesis Mainnet, Bringing Liquidity and Security to Applications and Infrastructure While Boosting Bitcoin Rewards

Shortly after the launch of Babylon Genesis — the world’s first L1 secured by Bitcoin — and its native token BABY, SatLayer has launched Phase I of its Mainnet, together with Cube, a Babylon-native liquid staking solution for Babylon Genesis’ BABY token.
As Babylon Labs’ only designated restaking provider, SatLayer plays a critical role in bringing Bitcoin’s massive liquidity and economic security beyond L1/L2 chains, to applications and infrastructure as well. Cube enables users to easily liquid-stake BABY and receive cBABY, a liquid staking token that can be used to earn additional reward by depositing it into SatLayer and downstream DeFi protocols such as Tower, a Babylon Genesis’ DEX, or lending protocols. Since Cube is built natively on Babylon Genesis, it provides the best user experience without the need for bridging. This allows users to strengthen the security of Babylon Genesis while also supporting the growth of SatLayer and Babylon Genesis’ ecosystems while earning 2 or more sets of rewards (from Babylon Bitcoin staking protocol, SatLayer, and optional downstream DeFi protocols).
