The First Decentralized Platform to Provide Sustainable BTC Yield Is Now Live
GOAT Network today launched its Alpha Mainnet, introducing the first decentralized platform that enables participants to get BTC-based rewards sustainably. With this launch, both Bitcoin and Dogecoin holders can finally access decentralized finance (DeFi) opportunities directly, paving the way for BTC to play a central role in Web3’s future.

GOAT Network’s sustainable BTC yield approach starts with novel decentralized sequencers and proof-of-stake models for Bitcoin. GOAT is inviting external sequencer node operators to stake Bitcoin or Dogecoin, in exchange for sharing both operational control and transaction revenue derived from the network.
This decentralized sequencer model then invites everyday users to lock Bitcoin and Dogecoin, with both the sequencer node operators and everyday users potentially earning the same annual Mining Rewards Rate. Those BTC and DOGE deposits help power liquidity on GOAT Network’s decentralized financial market, a vital prerequisite to any chain’s success – with the BTC-DOGE dual-staking model underscoring GOAT Network’s commitment to becoming Home of The People’s Coins.
From there, GOAT has built a one-of-a-kind economic model, which works as follows: Transaction fees on GOAT Network are paid in wrapped BTC. That BTC transaction revenue is then reaped by sequencer node operators. It is converted into a yield-bearing BTC token, then decomposed into a principal token and another yield-bearing token, in a model similar to the one built by leading DeFi innovator Pendle.
The result: Every transaction that occurs on GOAT Network helps generate sustainable BTC yield for both sequencer node operators and everyday users, who can acquire those yields by locking either their BTC or DOGE into a GOAT Network node, or participating in one of dozens of innovative BTCFi and MemeFi dApps on the network.
By enabling BTC to generate sustainable yields while maintaining secure holdings, GOAT Network bridges the gap between Bitcoin and DeFi. By enabling the same for DOGE, GOAT Network is introducing the nascent field of MemeFi, where Dogecoin (and other prominent memecoins) will do the same for memecoins and DeFi.
