Battle for the Kingdom: DeFi Kingdoms’ $75K Tournament Series Launches February 26th on Metis

DeFi Kingdoms is strengthening its community-driven ecosystem with the launch of Player vs. Player (PvP) Tournaments, a competitive arena that brings players together to showcase their skills and engage with the game in new and rewarding ways. Starting February 26th, this 6-month tournament series on the Metis blockchain will feature over $75,000 in cash-equivalent prizes, exclusive NFTs, and other valuable rewards.
At the heart of the event is the All-Star Tournament, where the Kingdom’s top competitors will battle for a chance to win a $10,000 grand prize and the honor of being enshrined as a DeFi Kingdoms legend.

The new PvP Tournaments are designed to encourage active participation and foster collaboration across the DeFi Kingdoms ecosystem:
- Competing for Glory and Rewards: Players will engage in multi-tiered competitions, progressing from Daily Skirmishes to Weekend Warriors, then to the elite Champion Invitational, and ultimately, the All-Star Tournament.
- Supporting and Predicting: Community members who prefer not to fight can participate by sponsoring matches and using their Influence to predict winners, earning rewards for accurate forecasts.
- Trading and Collaborating: Successful competitors earn Qualifier Tokens that grant access to higher-level tournaments. These tokens are tradeable, allowing players to strategize, form alliances, and shape their path through the competition.
A Path for Every Player
The Submersian Grand Opening Series provides multiple avenues for involvement, whether players want to fight their way to the top or engage from the sidelines:
- Daily Skirmishes: Twice per day, Monday through Friday – the first step toward higher-level competition.
- Weekend Warriors: Bi-weekly tournaments where the best advance to the Champion Invitational.
- Champion Invitational: A monthly showcase for top competitors, offering a direct path to the All-Star Tournament.
- Revengers Series: A second-chance path for those who fall short in earlier rounds but still aim for the grand stage.
The All-Star Tournament is the grand finale, bringing together the strongest players from all pathways to determine the ultimate champion.
Additionally, the Gold Rush Open will provide weekly opportunities to win additional prizes and Qualifier Tokens through special limited-time competitions.
Community-Driven Rewards
Entry fees range from $2.50 for Revengers Tournaments to $200 for the All-Star Tournament, with escalating prizes as players progress. Beyond cash-equivalent rewards, participants can get unique in-game equipment and other exclusive items, enhancing their Heroes and strengthening their position in the DeFi Kingdoms ecosystem.
